Tomorrow is my birthday~ I'm turning 11. And I just painted my nails. Wanna look?
Its really simple. You don't need any expensive tools.
What you need;
~Nail polish of course
~Cuticle cream and soap
~If you don't have a dotting tool, find something that has a dot edge.
1. After dipping your nails in soapy water, adding cuticle cream (lip balm works too), find two colors that would go well with polka dots. Such as navy blue and white, Hot pink and white, Purple and black, Green and blue, Blue and green, Blue and yellow, or just make up your own combination! Mine is Light pink on purple.
2. Add the base coat. The base coat is the background of the polka dots. If the nail polish is clear, you can add another coat. By doing this, it will make the color more solid.
3. Now, here's the polka dot part. Make sure the nails are dry before doing this step. Scroll down for some dotting tool substitutes, if you don't have a tool. Paint several polka dots on the nail. They look best if they are spread out.
4. Make sure they dry completely. You can dip your nails in ice cold water to make it dry faster.
~Dotting tool substitutes~
1. You can bend a bobby pin, and use the edge to make some dots. Good for medium dots.
2. You can use a ballpoint pen for tiny dots. Make sure the pen doesn't write. This is perfect if you want to make night sky nails!
3. You can get a pencil you never use, and use the eraser for really big dots.
4. If you have a make up brush that you don't use, you can use the other side of it. It makes medium dots.
